THOUSANDS OF SMILES AT INSPIRE FM’S EID FESTIVAL IN LUTON

Families from all around attended the Inspire Eid community festival in Lewsey Park, Luton to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
The two-day festival, presented by Inspire FM with Luton Rising, took place on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 April.
The ethos behind the event is to make the Eid celebration affordable and featured heavily discounted funfair rides, free family activities, international food and live stage performances.
Festival Manager, Mohammed Tariq, said: “The atmosphere was amazing and it was fantastic to see so many families and friends having a great time celebrating Eid here.
“A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers, supporters and attendees for making this event possible.”
A key part of the event was the ‘Every Child Smiles’ campaign which was a collaboration with locals schools, Luton Foodbank and Chalk Hills Academy to provide free ride tokens and Eid gifts to families who need a little bit of support.
“Luton Foodbank was pleased to be part of the ‘Every Child Smiles’ campaign to ensure families don’t miss out on having a wonderful time celebrating Eid,” said Salma Khan, Project Manger at Luton Foodbank.
The bi-annual festival was supported by key sponsors Barnfield College and Atrumed Healthcare.
