He cared for children, supported the vulnerable and forgave whenever possible.
Explore the Seerah, noble character and timeless Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, with practical reminders to help you follow his example in everyday life.
Rabi al-Awwal is the third month of the Islamic calendar and holds a special place in Islamic history because it is closely connected with the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
It is widely recognised as the month in which the Prophet ﷺ was born, although scholars have differed regarding the exact date. Rather than focusing on dates, this Inspire FM resource invites individuals and families to learn his Seerah, reflect on his noble character and put his authentic teachings into practice.
There are no acts of worship prescribed exclusively for Rabi al-Awwal. It is, however, a valuable opportunity to remember Allah, send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ, read the Qur’an and renew our commitment to the Sunnah.
We pray this resource strengthens your love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and inspires positive change in your daily life.
“Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah often.”
Surah Al-Ahzab (33:21)
Masjid an-Nabawi • Madinah
It encourages Muslims to reconnect with one of Allah’s greatest blessings to humanity—the sending of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as the final Messenger. More than fourteen centuries later, his teachings continue to inspire billions.
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.”
Surah Al-Anbiya (21:107)
The greatest way to honour Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is not simply by remembering him, but by following his guidance in daily life.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the final Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets. Born in Makkah into Quraysh, he was known from a young age as As-Sadiq (The Truthful) and Al-Ameen (The Trustworthy).
At forty, Allah revealed the first verses of the Qur’an to him through Angel Jibreel. Across twenty-three years he called people to worship Allah alone and live with justice, mercy and good character. Despite persecution, hardship and personal loss, he remained patient, steadfast and compassionate.
“And indeed, you are of a great moral character.”
Surah Al-Qalam (68:4)
He was known not only for devotion to Allah, but for how he treated family, friends, neighbours and even those who opposed him. True faith is reflected in how we treat others.
He cared for children, supported the vulnerable and forgave whenever possible.
Known as Al-Ameen, his truthfulness defined his life long before revelation.
He encouraged kindness, generosity and empathy for the wellbeing of others.
He lived simply, served his family and never considered himself above others.
He treated people fairly regardless of wealth, family or social status.
He gave freely and encouraged believers to help without expecting a return.
He spoke gently, smiled often and encouraged kind words in every interaction.
Even after persecution, his response at the conquest of Makkah showed mercy and restraint.
“The best among you are those who have the best manners and character.”
Sahih al-Bukhari (3559)

Choose beneficial words and avoid gossip, arguments and harmful speech.
Keep studying the Qur’an, Sunnah and Seerah—and practise what you learn.
