BRITISH MUSLIMS SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF LOVE BY HANDING OUT ROSES
Posted on: 21 December 2015
Muslims in Luton joined over 1 billion fellow believers around the world, to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) by handing out roses.
The simple concept of this international initiative was to give sweets, cards and beautiful roses to symbolise love, peace and the true message of Islam.
The objective of this unique event was to engage with the local community of Luton by promoting dialogue, spreading peace and mutual understanding.
Dawood Masood said that "It is reassuring that members of the community know that Islam is a religion of peace, love and harmony. Prophet Muhammad was all about mercy, kindness, respect and compassion towards neighbours and the community. I hope by giving out roses and cards that highlight the Prophet's message of mercy for all, we can change people's views about the Muslim community and Islam on a local level. I am overwhelmed by the response and the video clip regarding this event has had over 165,000 views in short amount of time."
